Hey there! I'm Shelly, or Fantastic Sky and mouffins, depending on where you find me. For the sake of brevity, I'll introduce myself as mouffins.

Perhaps I'm known as a fervent music advocate, who happens to enjoy crocheting on the side; or a feeble one to the spiciest of foods, like those seasoned with black pepper; or an incoming undergraduate at MIT, if that happens to be relevant for some reason. But I'm also an individual video producer, armed with an iPhone 12 mini, Adobe Premiere Pro, and a ton of ambition; or a STEM and education enthusiast eager to figure out how to make the world a better place; or as you may meet me here, a blogger who loves to overthink and yap.

I will be posting essays, rants, and all the different varieties of word soup here, so if that’s your jam, welcome!

Random Fun Facts

  1. I can wiggle my ears.
  2. I have perfect pitch.
  3. While whistling, I can hit a much wider range of notes if I inhale.
  4. I can bark like a dog quite realistically.
  5. I can do a karate kick even though I've never done any martial arts training.
  6. I strongly dislike soda, or any form of fizzy drink. It feels like a bunch of prickling needles wherever the liquid makes contact.
  7. I had my first taco at Taco Bell and my first matcha at Peet's Coffee. My opinions of both items have changed dramatically since then.
  8. I have never watched Star Wars.
